James Meadway and Nick Srnicek have appeared together as co-panellists on at least two occasions. In October 2015 they were among a group of economists and theorists discussing post-crash economics at the launch of Verso’s Radical Thinkers series: ‘Economists James Meadway, Tony Norfield, Mary Robertson and Nick Srnicek discuss the most pressing issues in contemporary economics, including finance, debt, housing, the Eurozone crisis and the future of neoliberalism.’ They were also both listed as speakers at the ‘Resisting Big Tech Empires’ conference held on 25 April 2026 at London South Bank University, organised in partnership with the Balanced Economy Project, where James Meadway appeared in his capacity as host of the Macrodose podcast and Nick Srnicek as ‘author of Silicon Empires and Platform Capitalism’. In addition, both have written separately on the theme of platform capitalism, with James Meadway authoring ‘A Design for Life: How Platforms Are Weaving Their Way Into the Fabric of Capitalism’ and Nick Srnicek being the author of the book Platform Capitalism.
